Welcome to Senegal- A French- speaking country in western Africa located at the westernmost point of the continent and is served by multiple air and maritime travel routes. This African country is often known as the “Gateway to Africa.” The capital, Dakar, is a vibrant city famous for its lively markets and rich musical culture. Elsewhere, Senegal boasts beautiful colonial architecture, secluded
beaches blessed with world-famous surf breaks, and remote riverine deltas teeming with wildlife.
Day 1: WELCOME TO TO SENEGAL
Arrive at Blaise Diagne International Airport, Meet and Greet by a representative from Soul Sync, Transfer to your hotel for check-in, relaxation, and sundowners at sunset activities. Later, enjoy a Welcome dinner where you can interact and meet the rest of your travel friends.
Day 2: DAKAR CITY
Today, we will explore the vibrant city of Dakar through a guided tour aboard a traditional “Car Rapide” bus, a colourful and iconic mode of transportation that represents the local culture and spirit of the city. Adding a touch of local flavour to our journey, Here what we have planned: Visit the iconic African Renaissance monument, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the continent, Experience a lively and vibrant artisan market and a wide array of local products and souvenirs. Get ready to shop for unique handicrafts, traditional artworks, exquisite fabrics, and other authentic treasures that showcase the local craftsmanship and culture.After lunch, We will also have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Black Civilisations, a treasure trove of African history and art.
Day 3: LETS GET CRAFTY
Enjoy a free morning to relax, explore the hotel’s amenities and indulge in some personal leisure activities of your choice.
In the afternoon, we will participate in a local pottery class, where we can unleash our creativity and learn the art of crafting beautiful pottery pieces. Guided by skilled artisans.
After the pottery class, we will have the pleasure of savouring a delectable dinner at a Senegalese home. This is a wonderful opportunity to taste authentic traditional food prepared by our gracious hosts.
Day 4: ADVENTURES AT LAKE RETBA
Today, we have an exciting adventure in store as we visit the enchanting Lake Retba, also known as the ‘Pink Lake.’ Here’s what awaits us:
Get ready for a day filled with excitement, natural beauty, and unforgettable experiences as we embark on heart-pumping dune bashing, traditional charm of a camel ride and ATV rides, a Pirogue boat ride, swimming, lunch with ocean views, and a bus ride along the salty dunes. Lake Retba is waiting to offer you a thrilling and memorable adventure.
Day 5: GOREE ISLAND EXPLORATION AND CRUISING
Prepare for a day filled with historical discovery and thrilling water sports as we explore Gorée Island, learn about its role in the slave trade, and enjoy a private boat cruise paired with exciting water sports. Gorée Island, a small and car-free island off the coast of Dakar, holds UNESCO World Heritage Site status. This famous island played a crucial role in the transatlantic slave trade, with 15 to 20 slaves being shipped to the Americas. It stands as a poignant reminder of this dark chapter in history. Our visit to Gorée Island with a private guide will include a journey to the Slave’s House, where we will uncover the stories of enslaved individuals and witness the symbolic “Door of No Return.” This door represents the final departure of slaves from Africa, marking their heartbreaking separation from their motherland. Through this experience, we will gain deep insights into Senegal’s history, exploring themes of slavery, colonisation, and more, which have shaped the country’s past.
Following our visit, we will embark on an exciting private boat cruise, offering stunning views of the coastline and the azure waters surrounding Gorée Island. Indulge in a range of thrilling water sports, such as jet skiing, underwater scooters, and other exciting activities, immersing ourselves in the refreshing waters and creating lasting memories of adventure.
Day 6: UP CLOSE WITH THE LIONS
Today, we set off on an exhilarating adventure at a Lion’s reserve, where we will have a thrilling encounter with the majestic lions of the Ranch. Buckle up and get ready for an extraordinary experience as we embark on a safari in a closed 4×4 vehicle. Be awe-struck by the sight of the lions gracefully roaming their territory. It’s a truly sensational experience as these magnificent creatures circle around us, occasionally climbing on the roof or hood of the car. A unique opportunity to witness their power and grace up close, while being safely protected in the confines of our vehicle.
Day 7: EXPLORE THE ARTISTIC HAVEN OF NGOR ISLAND
Discover the vibrant spirit of Ngor Island, a haven of art, relaxation, and cultural immersion. After a guided walk in the island, Spend the day soaking up the sun and engaging in optional water sports like kayaking and paddle-boarding. As the sun sets, we will participate in a dinner and traditional dance session on the beach. Our farewell dinner will be a barbecue on the beach savouring the flavours of Senegal’s culinary delights on our last night in this beautiful country.
